We offer posts in steel, aluminum, wood, and plastic. Customers are required to contact the local post office before installing the mailbox/post to ensure its correct placement and height at the street. Generally, mailboxes are installed at a height of 41-45 in. from the road surface to inside floor of mailbox and are set back 6-8 in. from front face of curb or road edge to mailbox door.
The Wellington Deluxe Plastic Mailbox Post is constructed from durable PVC plastic and is maintenance free. It accommodates standard and large size mailboxes. The kit includes all mailbox mounting and assembly hardware and instructions. The post requires one 36 inch 4x4 post, two 36 inch 2x4 boards and four wood screws for ground installation.
